Brian and I first met at a meeting of the IATA Micro Computing Task Force (MCTF) in Geneva in April 1985. We were all representing our respective airlines on this committee and Brian was the Chairman. He had a wonderful presence which put us all at ease and made us feel much valued members of this group. The friendships that developed from these meetings and subsequent Conferences have been a source of great joy, with long-lasting memories of wonderful times spent in each others company. Brian and I often chatted about our good fortune to be part of the group and to be at the cutting-edge of the development of the computing advances of the 1980's & 1990's. As he often said "We had the best of it, mate." We sure did! We will all miss our "reunions" and most of all "Our Chairman". Dear Sheila, as you know, we will all miss Brian very much, but our very fond memories will be a great source of comfort and joy.
